These are blossoms from the Bradford Pear or Callery Pear tree. It was interesting learning about these and I had no idea they were now considered invasive. They are gorgeous though, and when the tree is filled out with these white flowers they are quite the sight.
Originally they were bred as sterile and thornless but they cross-pollinated with other callery pears and ended producing fruit which lead to the thorns returning.
